Pluribus Networks Selected by AlwaysOn as a 2015 OnCloud Top 100 Winner in Cloud Infrastructure

2015 OnCloud Top 100 WinnerPALO ALTO, Calif. – February 21, 2015 – Pluribus Networks, the company that brings together compute, network, storage and virtualization into a single, open and programmable SDN platform, has been chosen by AlwaysOn as one of the OnCloud Top 100 winners in the Cloud Infrastructure category. Pluribus was specially selected by the AlwaysOn editorial team and industry experts spanning the globe based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.

This follows the recent recognition that the company received from Business Insider as an “enterprise startup to bet your career on in 2015” for finding “a new way to build networks that its customers love.” The AlwaysOn blog announcing the winners summarizes the customer challenges and the innovation of the winning solutions: “Network virtualization and compartmentalization services are being pushed to break the bonds of traditional, proprietary hardware and software services. Businesses from the enterprise to the smallest stand-alone want, above all, products that are agile and can scale as the business grows. Instead of endless cycles of upgrade and hardware replacement, business users want products that grow as they do.”

“We are pleased with the recognition that the company has received these past few weeks, proving that our Netvisor architecture is already helping our customers take advantage of hyperconvergence in their virtualized data centers,” said Kumar Srikantan, president and CEO of Pluribus Networks.

The OnCloud 100 winners were selected from among hundreds of other technology companies nominated by investors, bankers, journalists, and industry insiders. The AlwaysOn editorial team conducted a rigorous three-month selection process to finalize the 2015 list. Pluribus Networks and the other OnCloud Top 100 winners will be honored at AlwaysOn’s OnCloud event on February 26, 2015, at the College of San Mateo in Palo Alto, California.
