Pluribus Networks Named Winner of 2016 Best of Interop Award’s “Performance, Management & Monitoring” Category

VCF Insight Analytics 1.5 recognized for transforming networking into a true business intelligence solution at an affordable price

VCF-IA 1.5

Las Vegas, NV – May 4, 2016 – At its 30th anniversary event, Interop Las Vegas today presented Pluribus Networks a Best of Interop Award, recognizing version 1.5 of VCF Insight Analytics (VCF-IA) for its role in advancing the network monitoring and business analytics space. In each of the award program’s 10 categories of IT innovation, Interop named the exhibitor whose new product or service has made the most significant impact on the industry. Pluribus is exhibiting at Booth 1030 at Interop Las Vegas, the most-respected independent technology event for IT and networking professionals, which continues this week through May 6 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

“Enterprises have been looking for an affordable way to gain deep insight into the business operations of their data centers from the network perspective for years, but cost has held them back,” said Mark Harris, VP of Corporate Marketing at Pluribus Networks. “VCF Insight Analytics allows a business to gain a contextualized view of its data center consumption, yielding actionable business intelligence that allows IT to more easily troubleshoot and manage the network. We’re pleased that the judges at Interop 2016 recognized the value and power of VCF-IA, which provides this advanced networking insight and analytics at up to 80 percent lower cost than competing solutions.”

VCF-IA 1.5 can be deployed in any data center network – either with or without other Pluribus Networks switches – to enable monitoring and business analytics across a wide range of networking topologies. The solution is available now as a premier monitoring solution from Dell as part of its software-defined open networking portfolio.

The new version introduces the ability to automatically incorporate metadata in relation to the flows of information between various data center resources. Specific support for flows of information from Nutanix, VMware, IP-storage (e.g. iSCSI, NFS) as well as business attributes including organization, location, project type, funding source, and ownership are all built-in. Plus, the VCF-IA metadata engine is extensible, and virtually any type of metadata can be added. Users can also group combinations of these metadata tags to create role-based “project views” and dashboards, which present only those systems, applications, or processes that are of interest to them.

“Congratulations to Pluribus Networks and all Best of Interop winners, as these distinguished technologies are playing a major role in defining the IT industry’s future,” said Interop General Manager Jennifer Jessup. “As we celebrate a big milestone in Interop’s history, we’re excited to see Pluribus serve as a representation of today’s highly sophisticated IT environment – a testament to how far networking technology has come in the past 30 years.”

The Best of Interop Awards were judged by an expert panel consisting of 20 influential IT practitioners, analysts and professionals. Each category was assigned two judges who selected the winner after holding a series of briefings to evaluate demos and business cases.
