Pluribus Networks Hires Key Executive to Help Build and Grow Its Customer Base

Palo Alto, Calif. – October 14, 2014 – Pluribus Networks, the company that brings together compute, network, storage and virtualization into a single, open and programmable SDN platform, announced today the appointment of Bob Layton as vice president of Americas enterprise and channel sales.

“I am pleased to announce this latest executive appointment and I know that Bob’s industry experience and relationships are going to be very important for us in the upcoming months. With a growing pipeline and increased interest from key customers, we need experienced executives to help us continue to respond to customer interest and support our growth,” said Kumar Srikantan, Pluribus president and CEO.

Layton has spent 17 years with companies such as Xerox, Thomson Reuters and Cisco Systems. His expertise includes SaaS, managed services, hardware, software and cloud technologies in both the enterprise and mid markets. He joins Pluribus from Lumenate, where he spent the last five years as vice president of sales for the Western U.S.

“Based on what I see in customer environments today, I believe software-defined networks are the catalyst for change in the enterprise across multiple verticals,” said Layton. “Pluribus is right where it’s supposed to be and the customer adoption is increasing as the immediate return on capital investment and software is defining IT models.”
