Pluribus Honored as a “2014 Excellence in SDN” Award Winner

PALO ALTO, CALIF. –  April 22, 2014 – Pluribus Networks, the company that brings together compute, network, storage, and virtualization into a single converged platform that reduces energy consumption and physical footprint, announced today that the company’s Freedom architecture has been recognized by three publications for its innovation and worldwide success.

The company has just been named a 2014 Excellence in SDN award winner by TMC’s Internet Telephony Magazine and SDN Zone. SDN has already had a profound impact on the IT and telecom industries. The Excellence in SDN award recognizes the companies that are leading the way in SDN architecture and applications.

Earlier this month, the company received recognition for its efforts in Europe by being named a finalist for the DCS award in the Data Center ICT Networking category. The DCS awards are designed to reward the product designers, manufacturers, suppliers and providers operating in the data center arena.

Also in April, Pluribus was named a finalist for the 9th Annual 2014 Network Products Guide Hot Companies award.  These industry and peer awards from Network Products Guide honor achievements in the IT industry.

“We are pleased to see the recognition we are now getting,” said David Ginsburg, CMO of Pluribus Networks. “Our Freedom Server-Switch product line is the industry’s most programmable converged network services platform.  Moreover, its future-proof architecture and ability to fuse servers, storage, and switching into a single system will help offset the expected 3 percent of global energy production used by data centers and the cloud as well as the associated carbon footprint.  Our customers and partners are already taking advantage of our unique product capabilities and we are looking forward to sharing some of our successes in the following months.”
